I rode Sunday, 8/19- the lake loop is in good condition, very dry! They must not have gotten Friday's rain storm. It could use lopping, but not too bad. The short loop across the street has 3 trees down- 2 have a ride-around made already. All 3 trees are fairly near the road. If only I had a chainsaw........

Michael and I cleared 11 trees off the Lake Loop on the 4th of July. We plan to clear Turkey Trot and Beaver Run over the Labor Day weekend. If you want to help us, let us know. We will clear the trails either that Saturday (September 1st) or Sunday (September 2nd). We will be camping there that weekend, so we are flexible on the times. It wouldn't take long to clear the trees, and then we could get in a good bike ride! P.S. When you do buy your chainsaw, don't forget chaps, helmet (w/ear protection), and gloves. Barbara Drawdy

Kudos to the two of you, it is hard to get out and even ride this time of year so any trail work that gets completed is bonus (except emergencies of course). Thanks so much to the two of you for getting this taken care of!

I rode the lake loop and the short loop across the street (I think Turkey Ridge) Sunday, 6/22. Both are in great shape, no trees down. Thanks to the sawyers, whoever they are.

Michael Drawdy and I cleared/cut about 10 trees off the lake loop today. The short loop (Turkey Ridge) has 6 trees down but we ran out of time. The lake loop is in pretty good shape.

The lake loop has 2 trees down; they are easy to get over; otherwise in good shape. I cut 7 trees off the short loop and it is in decent shape; still has lots of small branches down.
