The U.S. Forest Service mailed a scoping letter dated April 23rd, 2004 about the Forks Area Trail System (FATS). The link below is a pdf file of the letter. Your support for this trail needs to be heard by the U.S. Forest Service. Please write a letter supporting the FATS to Glen Kansanback. I plan to write a letter of support.
hmmm...17 miles in '04 and 32 new miles over 2-3 years. And all I have to do now is write a letter.
You would think we would have 100 or more letters.

Today I got a letter from the Sumter District Ranger. It begins "It is my decision to allow the construction of the proposed Forks hiking/biking trail in McCormick and Edgefield Counties...."
Congratulations Seenvic (and everyone else who I'm sure has been working on this), and good job.

Is there any documentation for this trail out there? The PDF above is not there anymore. I coulda sworn I had seen a trail route or something a long time ago.
