27th Annual Lock to Lock Ride
Sunday, May 19, 2019
2:00pm
Grab your bike and celebrate National Bike Month at the 27th Annual Lock to Lock Ride! This ride is brought to you by Andy's Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse.
Ride 37 or 18.5 miles along the scenic Historic Augusta Canal Area and the Savannah River. The surface consist of hard packed dirt, grass, sand, and paved road. The route starts at the Savannah Rapids and you'll ride to the New Lock and Dam, with rest stops along the way to keep you fueled up.
We will also have roaming support courtesy of SORBA-CSRA should any assistance be needed. Once at the New Lock and Dam, there will be a delicious mid-ride lunch by competition BBQ'er, Waylon Walker, and a prize raffle for all riders. After grabbing a bite to eat, it's back up to the Savannah Rapids as you watch the beautiful sunset over the Augusta Canal. And yes, the ever popular Sno-Cone stop will be in place on the ride back at the Augusta Commons. Once you've completed the full distance the guys and gals from Wheel Movement-CSRA will be passing out cold Yoo-Hoo, a great recovery drink!
