Where: Turkey Creek/Wine Creek intersection (meet at the gravel parking lot at Price's Bottom - this is a gravel road on the left just before the bridge on Key Road - FS641) - in Google Maps if you will input your location and then Key Bridge, Edgefield, SC it should direct you right there. Just remember to turn left onto FS641 just before you get to the bridge (it is just after a couple of signs referencing the upcoming bridge).
What: August 2016's EtTR, it is definitely a favorite of riders who are looking for a great ride on classic singletrack with a few nice trail features.
We've had a couple of work parties in the past two weeks to get Turkey Creek and Wine Creek ready for this ride and these trails are ready to ride!
This trail duo offers so many options for riders particularly with a start at Price's Bottom.
Just want a 10+ mile ride take on Wine Creek alone or ride Turkey out to the confluence of the streams.
For a 14 mile ride do all of Turkey
To get in nearly 25, do them both
Both are in/out trails so you can do as little or as much as you'd like
Back before there was a FATS and a Bartram Trail I think these two trails in combo were the most popular in our area for many riders and it still is with many of the riders who prefer classic singletrack to flow trail.
You do not have to be a member of SORBAcsra to join us so bring your family and friends.
In the event the weather or trail conditions are not acceptable, the ride will be cancelled so watch for postings here!
These are both beautiful trails. Turkey Creek (for me) is hands down the best ride in the CSRA when it is clear. If you haven't ridden it yet, do so tomorrow. I promise, you'll love these old school trails. Thanks for all the hard work from everyone!
