Prep work needed to get ready for the upcoming Wildwood Games (see details below)
Date: Sunday, June 22nd – meet at the Lake Springs trailhead of the Bartram Trail
Time: 9AM
Work: Lopping the trails
What to bring: Loppers if you have them (we do have quite a few as well), water, gloves, insect spray (we will have some as well)
If we have enough volunteers sign up (please sign up so we can plan for tools) we will lop the Lake Springs loop and portions of Bartram Trail heading east as well as send some volunteers over to Keg Creek to do rolling lopping (at least some of the loppers need to bring their bikes, we will have some on foot). If we don’t have enough volunteers and the work does not get completed we will have to schedule additional work at a later date. Please sign up if you can help, it is hot this time of year and the quicker we can get this work done the better for everyone.
If you can help or have questions, please respond here – sorba.csra@gmail.com
A great way to introduce others to work parties is to partner up. Bring a friend who has never been before and they can work side-by-side with you. In the end you have spent quality time with your friend and we just may have another regular trail volunteer!
The work we are doing in preparation for these games will directly benefit our chapter.
Thank you!
