Got a good route that is mostly non-paved? Post the map, directions, or a link to a map (MapMyRide, Strava, etc).
Here's one to get started. Mostly dirt, some of the roads on the eastern side of the loop are clay and kinda suck when wet. There's a creek crossing on Peaceful Creek Road, which is an un-marked road (no sign with the road name). You can see one spot where we missed a turn. app.strava.com/activities/65145257
Have done this loop several times, with just a slight deviation. We didn't do the bush whacking and creek crossing that joins 2 gravel roads. Instead we took another gravel road in the same area and is pretty much the same ride. The last time we did this ride it was on cross bikes. I had never ridden my cross bike on an actual trail, so was interesting to ride the last mile of the route on the Turkey Creek trail. This is a fun, beautiful loop.
ridewithgps.com/routes/12637952 60 mile drop bar ride from Parsons Mountain to Hamilton Branch. Suitable for bikepacking with campgrounds at both ends. Easy to connect it to Modoc/Turkey/Wine too to add singletrack.
I've been on all these roads with a dualsport motorcycle, but it's been a few years. If someone rides it, let us know conditions! I'll try to scout it in the next month or two.
There are OHV trails at Parson's Mountain. I read somewhere there aren't any restrictions for bicycles, but not too sure about that.
