This is the section I refer to as "know the ledge" I consider myself to be an intermediate rider, and found myself dismounting and walking multiple times. This section of the trail is no joke, and you need to be on your game for sure. Props to the trailbuilders, the natural use of the terrain is great. I guess next time I will bring my A game.

Just finished weed wacking the new trail. Wow, the vegetation grows back quick on this new section. The new trail is open again. Same degree of difficulty!

Went and rode the new section yesterday. It should have a sign that says "skills clinic" upon entering. I and the group I was riding with thought it was very technical. It has the most ridiculous switchbacks I have ever seen. The main trail is in good shape it just needs some trimming in some places.

Yeah, I've heard it's technical and very fun, I need to get out there soon!!

Yeah, I've heard it's technical and very fun, I need to get out there soon!! You'll have to tell me how you do on some of the switch backs. I went counter clockwise (I think?) and couldn't do a some of the switch backs. The technicality of the trail puts you to the test to see what you can really do on your bike. I would go back just to work on skills.

Ride the new trail in the counter-clockwise direction based on the original map posted. If you enter the trail from the trail head parking lot, there is one 4X4 post with an arrow indicating directionality (go right). If you enter the trail at the end of the original trail system, you will come to a split in the trail with another 4X4 post indicating directionality (go right). The two ridiculous switchbacks are in the upward direction if you follow the signage. Work will be done on the switchbacks to widen the corners and level out the turns a little bit once the weather turns cooler again. As the trail cutter, I appreciate the feedback. The goal was to cut something very difficult now, because the trail always gets wider and easier with age!

Ran and rode trail several times this week. Holding up well through all the rain. Probably still the best around during rainy times. Also saw a lot of turkeys (birds) and a few deer. Pond level is back down to near normal as well.

A couple of us rode and ran trail tonight. Good shape; some recent high pond water levels affecting a couple of spots along the new 1.5 miles added this spring.

Rode trails yesterday. Good size tree down on oldest section just into woods past Free Ride, near the old .5 mile marker. Everything dry but pond still higher than normal.

Couple of us spent about 5 hours last Friday working on the new section along pond. Lots of leaves/pine straw swept and new growth cut back. Trail just needs riders and is easy to follow again. Trail remains tricky in spots though. Old style riding!
