The last few weeks FATS has received plenty of rain that has caused some "new" trail features like drops, more exposed roots and gullies. Just keep your eyes out for these or you might just take a bite of FATS.

I rode Deep Step today (it has been a few months since I have been on it), and had several "Holy Crap, where did that huge, endo-enducing rut" come from???

Hopefully in October when the weather settles down (as we move into fall the afternoon pop-ups will be gone and that should take care of the gully-washers) we will schedule a work party to get those ruts taken care of and do some drain work before winter settles in. Some of the eroded spots have already filled in naturally but some of them are bad enough people are going around.

This is from Saturday on DS. The doctor said I re-cracked a rib. I didn't know I cracked one previously, but i know it hurts like H E double hockey stick. This happened in the big dip between the bridge and the first climb ccw Just a tip to other riders, clear the handle bars when doing an endo.

Yikes! I'll admit that since we've started having the gully washers I am definitely a bit more tentative on some sections that seem more prone to mid-trail erosion! How long will you be off your bike?
