Good times at the canal tonight. 27 racers zip-tied some numbers to their handlebars and battled the clock around the world famous canal trail. The trail was dry and super fast, but the corners were a little loose in places and there were a few spills, but nothing major. Reigning Canal King Josh J. returned to defend his crown, and he's off to a good start taking the win tonight and posting the fastest ever recorded time on the non-Razor's Edge race route.
The Expert class has the closest race of all the classes, all 10 riders were within a 1:15 spread! A few folks are getting moved up a class (or two!) next time.
Again, big thanks to all the racers who came out to ride a lap, and to the volunteers. Ross lent a hand with timing, and the Allen's played the roll of course marshals for us again.
We're expecting an even bigger crowd next week, a lot of people were out of town this weekend.
Here's the times, and a few pics I grabbed near the end of the expert group.
