Another rather successful day for the FTF. This time though it was a road duathlon in Evans, GA. Two mile run, ten mile bike ride, two mile run, all on pavement. Becky took first overall female, Julie took 2nd overall female, and Barbara took 2nd place in category. Great way to represent! You girls rock! Chain Reaction was there, and they provided free maintenance and support, as they have done from the beginning with this event. We were all standing around and heard a loud explosion 2 minutes before the start of the race. The Chain Reaction crew took care of the blown tube! Mucho thanks to the CR crew.

Great day with great friends! Makes me miss my road bike. Speaking of which, we got a lot of rain last night so for those of you with road or cross bikes, it's probably best to ride on pavement or FS roads today.

Actually, even those of you with only mtn bikes should give the FS roads a try today. There's some awesome riding out there on gravel roads and it's a great way to get big miles and build endurance.

What a wonderful way to spend the day with good friends! Everyone's first duathlon and quite the learning experience. Forget how fun the road bike can be. Thanks ladies for the fun and inspiration. Great job to you too Michael and thanks for the pics.

Nice job ladies!
Also, it's great we have bike shops that support the local scene.
