Skinny and Brown Wave in great condition tonight. There are stil some seeps on Skinny mostly around the 4th crossing going CCW and most of them are in already armored areas.

Top of Skinny and Brown Wave were in great shape this evening but report on the Tower and Big Rock is a ride there was abandoned because they had obviously received a lot of rain, enough to make the riders discontinue their ride. Deep Step was good as was the connector. Report on Lower Skinny is that is was a bit damp.
Chance of rain tomorrow is great than 50% but in case that does not happen wanted an accurate trail report in case people ride tomorrow!

Can't fix stupid! Saw a few cars in the lot today when I drove by. Paved roads had standing water, about an inch+ over the last 24 hours and a few _____________ still out on the trails. 3/24

Has anyone attempted a ride at FATS today. I didn't get any rain by my house yesterday, but didn't know what FATS or any of the other trails got. Think a ride this afternoon is possible?

I personally would ride elsewhere today. In a few weeks when the trees all have their leaves it will dry out faster. I was over by Sportsman Corner yesterday around 5-6pm and it was pouring. Pretty sure FATS received the same treatment during that time. That coupled with the inch+ from Friday to Saturday afternoon...........

Thanks for the updates. I don't want to do any damage, so I [and everyone else] should stay away. Golf for me today then... Unless any other trails close by would be good? ?

Sorry just arrived home and saw the post. Most of our older trails would have been good to go today. FATS being the newest is still settling in and it gets a lot more wheels than any of our other trails. Talked to someone who rode out at Bartram today and except for a few seeps that are going to be there for a while it was all good. So other than the 36 miles at FATS there was over 100 miles of trail that would have been great for a ride today!

It started raining just before midnight last night and rained for a couple of hours. Trails will more than likely be too wet to ride today! Only saying more than likely because sometimes rain can be very localized this time of year and we live about 15 minutes from FATS.

Thunderstorm is in progress right now and it is putting down some rain - riders should stay off FATS until things have the opportunity to dry out!

Since March 30th we have received about an inch and 3/4 of rain - please pass the word that FATS is too wet to ride! We have the potential for still more today. Thank you

I assume that FATS is still too wet to ride today (Friday), despite not getting any rain yesterday. Would Saturday be OK, assuming again we don't get any rain today?

There is now a Twitter feed on the main webpage to keep riders up to date on changing conditions out at FATS - sign up and receive the tweets or just keep an eye out to keep up to date on trail conditions!

Great idea to have a Twitter account for FATS updates, but why limit it to just FATS? Can there be a SORBA-CSRA account to announce all important news? I haven't been participating on the forums and only look at it once or twice a week as do other people. With Twitter, I can receive only the important information as opposed to having to read through discussions. If it's a place that people can come to for better/more frequent updates, then why not report all trail conditions if they need to be reported? Once again, one of the better ideas to come along! Also, if it keeps the info flowing and avoids all the opinions that follow comments, then I believe it will be more effective.

The FATSUpdate twitter account was actually Seenvic's great idea. The idea was to keep it separate from our main Twitter account which is sorbacsra (about midway down on your newsletter is the Twitter icon and you access it right there).
The FATSUpdate will allow people coming to our area keep up to date on FATS status without having to hear about every ride, workparty and event.
I think it would be extremely hard to keep Twitter updated with other trail information since it really takes all our forum readers/riders to keep an eye out for the whole 150 miles of trail in this area and report in what they are seeing. The main Twitter account we report upcoming rides, events, etc.
We also have a Facebook page as well - I think the Facebook and Twitter account have been up for just over a year now.

We will be heading out to take the trees that are down off the following loops in just a few minutes (so we don't have overlap in case another sawyer decides the same thing - Big Rock, Deep Step and Brown Wave. Will also check trail conditions in a couple of spots. Just as a reminder to everyone - Skinny and Great Wall stay wet the longest! Will report back!

Report:
Deep Step - trail good - tacky surface with few muddy spots
Skinny - trail good - tacky surface with the regular seeps on either side of the 4th crossing going CCW and an area before the 5th crossing
Great Wall - report it is a mess - please hold off riding this trail!
Brown Wave - trail good just a few wet spots.
Big Rock - trail mostly bone dry a couple of wet spots here and there.
Tower - no report yet
Please ride in the middle of the trail through water or muck - keep our singletrack single!!
