Nice job, and thank you, on the work out at Keg. That rocky bridge rides nice, don't even have to hit the brakes. The reroute looks like it'll be fun once it ages and firms up. There's a tree down, it's a rider: (thanks to mudonthetires for camera work and dsquared for editing!)

Best video I have seen. First in normal speed, then in slow speed! Love it! It really shows the technique used! Thank you!

JT and I rode KC today - awesome conditions. Thanks, Dustin for the slo mo video. Yeah, that tree is a rider but I didn't attempt it. There's a non-rider down at the top of the last bridge going CW - I'll get it out in the next couple of days. First chance to ride new rock bridge and reroute near Bedrock crossing - rode them both ways and liked the results. Here's a few photos from today: JT crossing new rock bridge Over the pyramid logs JT tried to jump a fallen log - bad outcome Crossing the Keg Creek new reroute going uphill new reroute going downhill Bedrock Crossing Boulder Creek Boulder Creek - probably the prettiest spot on KC

I got in a lap after work today and the trail is in great shape. The reroute is getting packed in a little better, and really seems to flow now that I know where to look for it and it is very clearly marked. I noticed a lot of bright pink tape marked "Tree Harvest Boundary" between bedrock crossing going until a little after Keg Creek. The tape is tied around mostly smaller trees on either side of the singletrack, and scattered up into the woods. Does anyone know if we are about to lose a lot of timber out there?

Probably
most of the tree harvests have been due to ridding a section of Southern Pine Beetle - don't know for sure if that's the case here. Once the tape has been set, the harvests normally occur 2 - 3 years afterward.
