Any chance we could get Mistletoe on the list? They've got some great riding out there.

Any chance we could get Mistletoe on the list? They've got some great riding out there. That's what I was hoping for too, tried a ride out there last fall and due to the leaves being down I lost the trail. Haven't gone out there for a try yet. Kept hoping for a group ride to learn the way.

Even if there isn't an official explore the trails ride, we can get a group together.
I also want to get a group to go out to Fort Yargo in Winder, GA at some point. Very fun trail, less than ~2hrs from Augusta. The horseshoe drop is AWESOME.

I've always wanted to host some "explore the forest" rides. A little longer than one trail. Some riders will learn how to connect some stuff up. In this thread, I am appointing Dustin as my proxy for the explore the forest rides. And the first one is going to hook up Keg Creek and Mistletoe. And hopefully Bartram. We just need Dustin to tell us when it is going to be.

If you only do one Explore the Trails Ride.....do the Long Cane Horse Trail. It is the best mtb trail on the Long Cane Ranger District.

We just need Dustin to tell us when it is going to be. I already try and do that...not a lot of takers usually. BUT - everyone that does try a ride like that, they always like it, and start doing more of them. First time I did anything like that was the 49er ride two years ago - now I don't even need directions to ride those routes. Everyone should try a connector style ride at least once. don't let the distance scare you. Sure, you're gonna suffer a little (isn't that part of the appeal anyhow?). But later that night, after a shower and some food, you'll be looking forward to doing it again. It'll be Feb. before I can do any big rides on the weekends. We'll try it then...either the 13th or 20th. (PS - the 49er ride was an revelation for me. I wasn't in good shape at all, had only been riding about 6months or so. First time doing a big distance ride, first time I really understood what it was to suffer on a bike. I couldn't tell where my butt ended and my seat began. It hurt my butt to sit. It hurt my legs to stand. My legs had no power. I had talked myself in and out of quiting multiple times while on the road to Modoc. A friend said "come on man, we've went this far already, might as well finish"...so we did. Since then, I've been addicted to doing long rides and races, just to push myself...I hope to do my first real century this year. "at some point, if you're any kind of man, you gotta step up, step out, and see what the **** you got" )

Any chance we could get Mistletoe on the list? They've got some great riding out there. If you want to add it to the ETTS list, check with Paul. There is no ride scheduled for July. If you can be there to lead it, I am sure it could be added to the list.

Very fun trail, less than ~2hrs from Augusta. The horseshoe drop is AWESOME. Rode quite a bit of Yargo a couple years ago. Didn't have time to finish the whole trail, but what we rode was fun. Would love to get out there and ride it again!
