Informal Poll: How many of you dodged, or ran over Joe Unger's tire pump in the right hand turn about a mile into the first trail section, and how many laps did it sit there? Later, Bryan B. Never saw the pump. Amazing thing to me was the people signed up for a race and then rode around some of the obstacles on the course. The line around the pyramid in section two was nothing short of pitiful.

Robf- Thanks man, I appreciate you passing me on my last lap, helped me speed up a little and hang on so my boys could bring home the bacon with lap 19 and 20. How many laps you guys get in? You were riding strong all day! Bill- Agree on the obstacles, that log pyramid was fun launching over, can't believe folks made an extra line around that. Must've been a buncha' roadies!

Troy- we actually rode 17 but when we left Sat. night, the card had 16 laps. Somewhere during the day, someone didn't record one of my laps. Hopefully they got it worked out. If not, we still had a good time. Looking forward to next year. RF

I saw that pump for more laps than I can remember. I even had to hop it once to avoid running it over. I have to admit I took the line around the log pile on the last lap. Launching off it lost it's fun after the 13th time...... Eddie O

One of the early laps in the race reminded me of a yard sale on a ski slope. There were two bike water bottles and a Dasanti water bottle all within the first mile of single track. The dasanti bottle was just before either a bridge or some wicked turn, then there was a multi-tool pouch right before you got back on the road. During the night lap is saw tons of reflector shrapnel scattered along the course. What fun it is to ride a rough trail. If stuff isn't fastend down, it's sure to be left behind.

Events such as the Baker's Dozen take a tremendous amount of effort way before the event ever takes place...........Paul Farrow has done a phenomenal job for the third year in a row directing this event (the amount of work he does behind the scenes is nothing short of grueling at times but somehow he gets it done). Thanks Paul for everything you do to make the Baker's Dozen a tremendous success! As a pre-, during, and post- volunteer I can tell you it takes a tremendous amount of effort but the wonderful riders and their support teams, the great volunteers who come out and do whatever needs to be done, and a third year of great weather make it all worth while. Both as a volunteer and as a rider the event is such fun for me. I love seeing all my friends and meeting new ones. Mountain bikers are just the best!! Everyone was courteous and friendly out on the trail encouraging each other and having a great time. I am happy to be a part of this event year after year!

;D Thank you CSRA-SORBA for putting on another great event! Apologies to Dan and fellow volunteers if I acted pissy during the protest for 3 man competition. We rode hard for that victory and knew we won it. A decision could have waited until today but those guys knew the truth. Glad things got worked out and the others sucked up their pride and admitted their defeat. Had nothing to do with truth nor pride, we were protesting the 2nd and 3rd placings. However, the times were incorrect from the start and laps were left out even on solo riders. Then after protesting, another 3 man team with a perfectly written and timed card (they only team with no errors or times on their card) says because their times were recorded properly they should get the slot Great event but big mistakes in getting and end result makes it difficult to want to go back and do it again. Time to get the FATS built and start riding hard! Troy Team Black Moth 'caaaaaaaaacaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwww'

Sorry bro, you must not have been on the team that protested the 1st place cause those guys got wrapped up in the 2nd/3rd place protest as well....there was one team trying to tell us they did 21 laps over our 20 and that they got 1st. Not sure if that was your team, apologies if so. Not trying to flame anyone, just stating the obvious. Those guys finally realized it was impossible to have 21 laps especially with their times. You'd have to have at least all 37 minute or less lap times. We passed several of the 2nd/3rd place guys on several occasions and never got passed by anyone. Glad we got it worked out for 1st, never saw any reason for a protest on that but there was. I was ready to go home and enjoy some cold beer out of my pint glass and got tangled up in the mess.

Are results going to get posted online? I like to analyze lap times to see where I can improve things.

Hey Black moth---- I was wraped up in it also. It was amaizing to me that this team had only 17 laps posted but said they did 21. You guys won it with 20 my team had second with 19. Then out of the blue some dude is sayin they did 21 but will settle for second (WTF) . It did not make sence. I still had a great time on a fun event but that team sure did ruin my ride back home. For what is is worth you guys kicked ass with 20 and we were right behind you with 19. Congrats on the first place I am glad that was cleared up for you,. We are still waiting on the final word on 2nd.

Baker's Dozen Photos - I am trying to get all of the photos that were taken during the event posted on my web site. If you want to share your pictures, please email them to me at scollins@sorbacsra.org - if you have too many, email me and I can arrange to get them on CD.
I'll let everyone know when they are available on the site.
