I'm in. Solo. Gonna be hating it! But would rather suffer for 13 hours than for the whole year afterwards (which is what will happen if I don't ride solo).

On a more serious note, is there anyone out there looking to be on a 2, 3 or 4 person team and simply don't have anyone to ride with?
I know of a team or two that is looking for some riders.
Speak up!

Greetings, The hour is getting close at hand. Team Old and In The Way might need another team member. Our Atlanta member had to bail. We've got a couple of alternates, the problem is getting in touch with them. We will definitely know by Wednesday or Thursday, I hope. Nothing like waiting til the last minute!

Rasta, Love the name of your team. Is Grismon riding a lap or two for ya? Prolly a good thing old Jer is dead, I imagine he'd struggle at Horn Creek.
Ideally, how many riders is Team Old and in the Way? I take it you need one more.

It is good to see some people know who Grisman and Garcia are. Those two put together some fabulous music. I fear that Grisman is probably in the same shape(physically speaking) Jerry was in before his death in 1995. Our team is made up of Philip Roberson, Philip's cousin(whose name escapes me), myself(Matt) and one more person.? Robert, who rides on Tuesdays expressed interest. I don't know how to get in touch with him except through Drew J. We may have to kick it down to a 3 person team if we can't find another team member. The team name is unofficial, but I like it as well. Thanks

I know two folks coming to hang out, I doubt they'll want to race but will run it across them. We already have enough water girls, I guess Chris and Eric are going to be extra water girls for whoever may need them? ;D
Man, I'm ready to ride! #9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9#9..........

I'm going to leave that one alone. Does anyone know if cars(or trucks)will be allowed down the campground road during the race? Will part of the road be sectioned off? Just trying to get a heads up as this will be my first Bakers Dozen. Thanks

I guess Chris and Eric are going to be extra water girls for whoever may need them? ;D quote] Hopefully they will either ride or realize that Paul can use their help with the event. Helping Paul with event don't sound altogether awful in lite of 13 hours on a bicycle. Not riding and not helping out Paul would make one wonder of the character of these young men. Imagine what the Karma Gods will throw at them in the weeks ahead.

Agreed Bill! Sad day indeed! One would think with a $5000 road bike, doing super secret road rides that they could at least ride a couple of laps with a 3 to 4 person team? -or- Sip on beer and volunteer!

Philip's cousin is Bill - rode with him on the canal trail a couple of times and saw him when we went up to the Pedalpalooza at Blanket's Creek. I think this Baker's Dozen will be like one great big party......really looking forward to it I've already started working on the cookies for the riders.....
