Our monthly ladies ride is coming up this weekend (August 21st) - if there are riders out there who would like to come out and ride Horn Creek now that it is mowed and ready - I'll give some really detailed directions on how to get there, you can come up at 8:30 or so and take a lap or two. I'll bring a few maps of the trail and maybe some PowerAde. You won't be riding with the ladies group but this is a great opportunity to come out check it out while there are people around (if you sign in with me when you come, I'll make sure you are out of the woods or accounted for before we leave)! Just let me know by response here or pm if you are interested!

This trail is ready for wheels and starting to get some, it is mowed and except for a few small trees that will continue to fall here and there will be great riding.
I won't speak for our experienced racers but I know that I get faster on a trail the more I ride it - I learn the lines and how to get more speed on the quirky parts of the trail - if you are thinking of the Baker's Dozen it's great to get the feel for this classic singletrack trail.....ride it more and improve your lap times!
There will be people there for the ladies ride on Sunday morning and few extras as well. Come on out if you haven't ridden it before and give the trail a whirl.
From Sportsman's Corner at the intersection of Woodlawn and 230..... head north approximately 11 miles and turn right just after the brown Lick Fork Recreation Area sign onto Lick Fork Road. Go approximately 2 miles to the entrance of Lick Fork Recreation Area (the sign is on the left, you turn right into the park). A short distance down the road there is a pay station on the right - it is three dollars to park (there is a park attendant and he will give you a ticket if you don't pay and display your hang card) - turn to the left and follow the gravel road on around to the end. You will end up in a paved parking area with a sweet toilet and a nice lake for a dip after your ride! This area is the core of operations for the Baker's Dozen as well as the start/finish area.
