two riders came into pretty bad situation today. the downhill section following the power lines from the upper parking lot has a ~5' deep 3' wide trench dug right across the trail. NO WARNINGS NO FLAGS NOTHING but a freaking dirt pile same height as the grass. i don't know what ahhsole authorised the the construction work but they left the area in an unsafe condition.
i have no idea who to contact about this but it is unbelievable, if it weren't for the experience and quick thinking of the two riders, there could be two people laying in that ditch with broken legs etc with no way to get help. fortunately for me i wasn't clipped in, the other guy didn't do so well.
please let me know who i can call or go see even about this atrocity.

I looked up an email I had from 2009 from a guy who says he is in charge of Boyd Pond. If he is still in charge, he is getting this post sent to his email.

A lot of water lines were destroyed by lightning last week and the maintenance crews have been busy replacing them. The crews working on the lines weren't aware the trail was used by bikers. It'll be covered and/or marked.
