Rode Bartram this last Sunday afternoon; the trail was as wet as I can remember. I saw a bunch of hikers, several runners, and several mtn bikers. I would have gone for a road ride except Luke would have bitten my leg off. On the positive side, my new Deuter pack from imba is great; rides really light.

Sounds like last Sunday JT (12/20). We tried to ride it. Went from the Petersburg trailhead to Lake Springs. Turned around and rode back. Then just cruised around the campground and some gravel. I had never seen it as wet.
Heck, today we headed out and thought we could ride Horn. NOT! Nasty as heck, so we got in about 20 miles of gravel there. Could be a week or so before any of our "normal" old trails are in rideable condition.

Rode 1/09/10, trail is mostly dry with a few wet spots. Very little mud do to it being frozen. Rode from the dam to the water works road and back, did not ride Lake Springs Loop.

As of last weekend - old Bartram was clear of downed trees - airstrip getting a little bushy. There was one tree down on Lake Springs but got that one today.

- airstrip getting a little bushy. We took the new Stihl string trimmer from the trailer yesterday and will clear the airstrip next weekend. We are camping there and will take toss the trimmer in the boat and take care of that either Friday or Saturday evening. MD

Lake Spring has a non-rider in the rake and ride section when it was re-routed.

Lake Spring has a non-rider in the rake and ride section when it was re-routed. Took that one out yesterday after the work on Keg. It was decent size. There is one leaning over the trail about 100 feet away that you can duck under now. I was going to cut it out until we noticed it was actually being suspended by a huge, very hairy vine with happy green leaves all over the place. SO quickly pointed out that is was poison ivy. Soooo...If someone who is not allergic to that crud wants to, please take it out. It is a small pine that could easily be done with a handsaw. You'll just have to deal with the hairy vine. MD
