COE has unveiled their new blazing system at Bartram. Yellow diamonds are pinned to trees. These items are roughly 2 inches square and resemble poster board. Lake Springs Trail is blazed white with the small bit of overlap with Bartram is a combination of white and yellow. They have just started deployment of these symbols in the Lake Springs area.

Rode Bartram and "Lake Springs Loop" (is that the official name?) today. I have never seen the loop in such great shape. hats off to the folks that helped out last week.
Also ran into 3 folks from the COE placing wire down on the bridges on the loop. Did the one going to the boat landing and 1/2 of the curved bridge. Nice people.
Do to the wetter than I like conditions I avoided the extention.

The bridge close to fishing dock was wired a couple of weeks ago. I talked to COE just yesterday and they didn't have their order of new hardware cloth then. So it must have come in today. Now here is a land manager that is ready to rock and roll. The whole lot of them is really fired up over Bartram!! Starting Nov 1, the ranger in charge of volunteers will be Dave Quebedeaux. Some of you will remember him as the ranger who drove their 4wd 4 wheeler last year helping us tote in bridge materials for the 2 bridges on the extension and he delivered bridge materials to us last June when we built the bridge off Rt 221 - great guy.
