I'm planning to conduct another NMBP Patroller Training Class in mid-October in an effort to raise our numbers and allow new patrollers time to get experience before the World Summit next year. If you, or anyone you know, are interested in becoming a member of the SORBA-CSRA Bike Patrol group, please let me know. I've spoken with a few folks who have expressed a strong interest, so if I can get at least five students by then, we'll conduct the class. With the World Summit coming here next Spring, we'll need at least 25 Bike Patrollers to support this event. Right now we have 12 Bike Patrollers and two Trail Ambassadors, so you can see the need to grow our numbers in the group. For more information about becoming a member of the NMBP, please visit the IMBA NMBP website at www.imba.com/nmbp/index.html. Keep posted for more details to follow. Be safe!

John,
I want to participate. I will be out of town October 16 - 23. Any other time will be good for me.

John,
Ditto here. My folks will be in town from the 17-21 of October. Or that is what my wife says. I guess they would rather talk to her (and get news) than me (and I say "good" repeatedly as I watch tv)

I still want to join, but I doubt I'll be able to make anything in Oct. That'll be the height of my crazy schedule - getting married on the 24th of Oct.
After that things should settle down.

We have the training schedule nailed down for the October 10 th Bike Patrol Training class. 8:30 am - 12:30 pm: CPR/First Aid class 12:30 - 1:00 pm: Lunch (provided) 1:00 - 4:00 pm: Bike Patrol training SORBA will pay for the CPR/First Aid training if you are taking it to become a Bike Patroller or a USFS certified sawyer. This is an excellent opportunity to take care of all the training requirements to become a member of the National Mountain Bike Patrol in one day. If you'd like to know more about joining the NMBP, please visit our website at www.imba.com/nmbp or send me a message with your questions. Please let me know if you plan to attend one or both classes by October 3 rd so we can make sure we have the appropriate amount of training materials. Be safe!
