Outstanding event. My thanks to Dustin for his organizational efforts and to all of the wonderful volunteers. Comments:
1. I concur with Bill. The paved section was just right for the finish. And the last mile of gravel before hitting Horn was fast and fun.
2. If the event becomes a regular fixture, it will grow.
3. Regarding SAG drop bags - we could use multiple boxes at each station: one for A-H, one for I-P, one for Q-Z. Or grouped by number.
Some ideas that worked great:
4. The use of human turn markers at Horn Creek was a great idea. It ensured that everyone got off to a great start.
5. Putting hand pumps at key locations. First, as you left the Horn trail for the first pavel section; second, at AS 3.
6. LeMans start.
7. Great choice of roads. I hardly saw a car.
