The storm that tore up Abbeville so bad went right over LCHT and knocked a lot of stuff down. My group and the Greenwood club have been cleaning it up and it should be clean and prestine at the latest next week. I went yesterday and there were trees all over the road and it was mud city (I slid off the road into a ditch trying to navigate around some trees in the road, thank god for good ol' detroit four wheel drive). I took out some big trees yesterday and am planning on either going out there again today or going to the Connie Maxwell Childrens Home and volunteering to help clean it up there. The storms tore up some beautiful old trees over there.

Is the shagbark hickory in the scenic area still standing?

I haven't worked my way that far yet, from the e-mailings going on with these guys I think someone is heading that way today to check from big rock past the metal bridge so I'll ask later on tonight
