Did anyone ride yesterday? If so, how did you get out with that train parked there?
I wanted to catch a few minutes after dinner yesterday, so I parked at Olmstead and rode over to the canal to take a quick loop around the Canal Trail. Just as I crossed the canal I heard a train coming. He pulled up and stopped; blocking the crossing right at the new "park" where the overflow and "back door" to the trail is. I rode on up to the pumping station to see if that was open yet and it wasn't; so I just rode to town to get some miles. At 8:30 that train was still sitting there, blocking the trail entrance.
I hope none of you guys were stuck on the other side.

Train was not there when they hit the trails. I ran up with them on the trail and did a few laps. On the way out we quickly passed the bikes in between to cars and climbed thru.

We learn something new every week.
Two weeks ago, while standing around fixing flats (THREE of them) we learned: bug spray.
This week, we used some bug spray. Didn't work so well. So the lesson: different bug spray.
What will our mtn biking hero's learn next week? Tune in to find out, same bat time, same bat channel

Try eating something with a lot of garlic in it. Besides vampires, bugs seem not to like garlic flavored blood.

You gotta have something strong since you can't move and the worst is having one of those little buggers drilling into your skin when a nervous tom is approaching. That being said, don't plan on walking around in public after applying it because it's STRONG!
